HOW TO BRING YOUR A-GAME TO YOUR INSTAGRAM.
Instagram is one of my personal favorite platforms, but there is more to it than just posting a picture and running away, waiting for likes to come pouring in. My motto is "You get what you give". This is true to Instagram too; But I am going to teach you how to bring your "A game" to the Instagram world.
Build a strong foundation
When starting with your Instagram account, you need to make sure that you are building a strong foundation. Brainstorming what you want your brand to look like, the sort of photos you want to share, and the ideal client you want to gain from Instagram, are all important details to know when starting. This will be the base of your foundation.
Interact with others
When you are building this beautiful foundation on your Instagram account, you want to help others build their foundation too. This can be done by interacting with others on their photos; liking and commenting are both ways to do this. Many times, they will appreciate your help and come over to your Instagram feed to help you build your foundation too.
Stand out from the crowd
Everyday, hundreds of new accounts are made. Someone in your specific niche is probably starting their own Instagram account as you read this. So its your job to stand out from the crowd. Show the real you- your quirks, strengths, and anything that makes you, well, you!
Celebrate what you ask? Whatever you want! There are super fun national days (for instance, national coffee day was yesterday, and you bet I indulged) But not only did I indulge, but I also posted photos on Instagram with relevant hashtags relating to #nationalcoffeeday #coffee #coffeeday. Outside of the national days, I also LOVE to celebrate when my clients account makes a huge landmark...."Sally just hit 1,000 likes, let's have a donut and celebrate!". I tag my client, use relevant hashtags and walla!
Share who are you
Do you have your direct link in your bio? If not, pause reading this right now, and go put that link in your bio! Does your bio tell your potential clients who you are and what you do? If not, you are seriously missing out on potential clients!
Consistency is key when it comes to any social media. Make sure that you are posting relevant content on a frequent schedule. Don't post once a week and run. You need to be more consistent with your posting so that your followers know what to expect from you and when.
Hire a social media manager
If you don't have time to post on social media yourself, hire it out. Not only can they post more frequently, but they can engage frequently for you as well.
Use Hashtags wisely
On Instagram, hashtags are boss. You need to not only use hashtags, but use relevant hashtags. DO NOT USE RANDOM HASHTAGS. Just don't do it. I see this happen way too much. People see whats trending and use those hashtags when it has absolutely nothing to do with the photos.
