Episode 2 - Making In The Morning and At Home with NJ Rongner

This is the Wake To Make podcast where we support you, the maker, so your making can support you. We’re a husband and wife team inspiring, empowering and equipping makers, just like you, to show you how to design your lives in such a way that your art works as hard as you do and to come along side you to build a thriving creative business.

EPISODE 2: Making In The Morning And At Home

If you’re questioning whether you’re a maker because you don’t craft, paint or draw then this episode is for you. We’re chatting with NJ Rongner about making in the morning “in between wiping butts and making sandwiches”. For years NJ felt guilty because her making had nothing to do with painting or drawing, until she finally realized who she was, what she was created to create and started being true to herself.

NJ Rongner is a story teller, virtual assistant, freelance writer and Word Fairy who helps makers integrate social media and content creation into their brand. She got her start as a lifestyle and parenting blogger at A Cookie Before Dinner, where she inspires her readers to chase a sweet life well lived.

Today NJ is sharing how to cultivate creativity in everyday life, how you can influence and affect generations to come by sharing your passions with the world and how shifting your mindset will help you see that you’re already living creatively in so many ways that you may not even notice.

Thanks so much for joining us this week! If you enjoyed listening to our Podcast chat with NJ, please share it using the social media buttons below and subscribe to the Wake To Make Podcast on iTunes!

Diamonds in the ruff:

We’re all created for a specific purpose, and if we believe that we were created by the creator, then we need to figure out what he has called us to do and we need to do that, not look to the  left or right, but stay focused on what your gifting and talents and passions are. - NJ

It’s a shame to the world if you don’t put out there what you can create. - NJ

You have something completely unique to bring to the world – Lilah Higgins

It took a long time to shed the guilt of being true to who I was instead of being the person I wanted to be on Instagram and there’s a lot of freedom once you can do that. – NJ

Saying no to the things that don’t bring us life and bring us joy is really important in cultivating creativity. – Lilah Higgins
