EPISODE 15: IDENTIFYING KEY STRENGTHS & FINDING THE PERFECT FIT

Figuring out what colleges to apply to and what’s involved in the application process is quite overwhelming for both parents and students. If you’re going through that process right now, then our chat with Marie Silver is perfect for you. Marie is sharing how she walks parents and students through the application process by drawing on the student’s strengths to see what colleges or programs would be a great fit. She’s also sharing why it’s important to have someone, who has already walked that path, guide you through the process to make it less stressful. Finding the right program and school that fits your needs, as a maker, is important and could result in either loving and benefiting from your college experience or feeling like it was wasted.

Marie Silver, founder of Acceptance College Prep, is a wife, twin-baby-momma, and college admissions coach who helps high school students and their families confidently navigate the road to college. She helps identify the key needs, strengths, and characteristics of both students and colleges that lead to a perfect fit between the two.

Through step-by-step virtual coaching and online courses, Marie outlines exactly what parents and students need to consider and complete in the entire college admissions process. And she tries her best to make it fun.

Today we’re chatting with Marie about finding the right college and program for you, understanding the process of applying to college, finding your strengths and how that affects your college experience, how to make the most out of your college experience, figuring out what options are available to you and why it’s important to understand whether you align with the colleges you apply to.
