EPISODE 5 - COURAGEOUSLY LIVING OUT YOUR CALLING
Your art has the power to change the world. By being brave enough to share your story and your art authentically, you can connect with makers and build a community that strives to live creatively and free and pushes you to do the same. Christina knows the power of living your calling courageously and is sharing her story of how she went from home-schooling her kids to pursuing her creative writing career and the bravery and courage it took to take that leap of faith.
Christina Hubbard is a poet who writes memoirs. She uses her pen to help the spiritual creative find courage and freedom to influence their world with honest, beautiful story. She gets a big thrill out of connecting deeply with other makers and helping writers find God’s imagination in their work. She’s written for publications like InCourage and leads a writing critique team through Proverbs 31 compelled training. Christina makes her home in Kansas City with her husband and two kids, she loves doing Yoga on her deck in the sunshine and dreaming of her next road trip or overseas adventure.
Today Christina is sharing her tips for living out your calling courageously by surrounding yourself with people and a community that knows you well and deeply. She is showing us how your community can push you to be brave in ways you never imagined and why it’s important to bring your art into this world in a vulnerable and honest way. With a book in the works we get a sneak peek into the writing process and what Christina has planned for this year.
